Director of School Operations
The St. Marcus church bulletin...
My family had moved near St. Marcus and naturally we became members of the incredible church. While I was still working as a Paralegal at a law firm, I saw a position open for "Executive Assistant to the Superintendent & Principal" in the church bulletin. I had been experiencing a tug on my heart to have a career focusing on a mission rather than an income. I was confident that anything St. Marcus Church promoted and supported must be strong and purposeful, so I was intrigued by being part of the school.
I applied for the position and about the same time had volunteered to start up the first year of the "Coffee Bar" for the school's annual Gala. Once I experienced what St. Marcus School was all about, after the Gala ... going for the Executive Assistant job - or anything else the school could use me for - was the only career option in my mind! I am humbled, grateful and blessed to have been given the opportunity to join the St. Marcus staff family and have never looked back!
Purpose: Every single day I get to contribute my dorky organizational skills behind-the-scenes to a Christian, driven, meaningful, eternal purpose.
Daily Kid-spiration: My office is a short space away from the Wehr Gym - I love hearing the students sing or work together when they are rehearsing for holidays, performances, or even just having recess!
Co-workers: St. Marcus staff members come together every morning to meet together and hold a prayer circle. Starting the day focusing on God, and on each other, makes this workplace like no other.
"Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans." Proverbs 16:3.
