For more than a century, St. Marcus has been helping people on their spiritual journeys with compassion and joy.
Together, we enjoy the love and fellowship of a supportive community, washed by the water of baptism, fed by the Lord’s Supper, and taught and guided by God’s Word. Our downtown location, cultural diversity and worldwide connections bring us face-to-face with the gospel each and every day.
Each week we gather for worship. Our worship styles vary by service, giving our diverse congregation a chance to choose where they feel most at home. You will hear and see ancient and modern, solemn and exuberant, traditional and contemporary worship experiences, all connecting people to Jesus and to each other.
St. Marcus is a Lutheran church, a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). For more information on our beliefs, check out the we believe section.
An extension of St. Marcus Lutheran Church, St. Marcus Lutheran School is a nationally recognized leader in Christian urban education. Founded in 1872, St. Marcus School has a strong commitment to disciple children for Christ and to train them for lifelong leadership and service in their families, faith life, workplace, community and country.
