Shoe Drive—Wisconsin Lutheran High School is running a shoe drive from November 3-25 with Soles for Jesus. You can drop off gently used shoes of all sizes to WLHS Monday through Friday from 9-2. Shoes will be shipped to Africa for those in need. Questions can be directed to Morgan Lautz at Morgan.lautz@wlhs.org

WLHS Job OpeningDirector of Communications and Marketing  - This position will lead all institutional messaging and brand management. This leader will develop and execute content creation, public relations, and digital engagement to strategically advance the WLHS mission and vision. A Month of Thanks at WiscoThroughout the month, our students and staff are joining together to show gratitude to God for his countless blessings and reflect his love through service to others. Take a look at how our Wisco family is giving thanks this month:

  • November 3–14: Food Drive for Christ St. Peter Church, organized by Viking Christian Leader Academy (VCLA)
  • November 3–21: Soles for Jesus Shoe Drive, organized by Viking Christian Leader Academy (VCLA), collecting new and gently used shoes
  • November 12-December 8: Foster Toy Drive, organized by Chick-fil-A Leadership Academy, collecting new unwrapped toys
  • November 19: International Fair, hosted by Wisco Witnesses in the World (WWW), celebrating the cultures and countries represented in our student body with displays, performances, and sample foods
  • November 24–25: Antigua School Supply Drive organized by Wisco Witnesses in the World (WWW), collecting materials for students at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran School in Antigua
  • Donations of food, shoes, toys, and school supplies can be dropped off at Wisco in the upper and lower lobbies.

Jr. Vikings Holiday Cheer ClinicBoys and girls ages 5 to 13 are invited to the Jr. Vikings Holiday Cheer Clinic hosted by the WLHS Cheer Team! The clinic will take place on Sunday, December 7, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. in the multipurpose gym at WLHS. Enjoy an afternoon filled with music, treats, games, crafts, tumbling, and more! Parents, take this opportunity to get some holiday shopping done or enjoy some kid-free time. The cost to attend is $25 and registration closes Friday, December 5, at 4:00 p.m. For more information visit wlhs.org/jrvikings.

WLHS International FairEveryone is invited to the WLHS International Fair on Wednesday, November 19, from 5:00-6:30 p.m. in the atrium at Wisconsin Lutheran High School. Various countries and cultural groups will be represented with display boards, music, and pictures. Ethnic food will be available. Admittance is $5 and includes 12 tickets to try 12 foods or drinks. For $3 you can purchase an additional 10 tickets. Children 3 and under are free. All money raised will go to support WLHS mission trips.

WLHS Christmas Market Crafters WantedCalling all artists and crafters! WLHS is hosting its annual Christmas Market on Saturday, November 22, from 12:00-4:00 p.m. The event is open to any vendor who would like to sell items for the cost of $50 per table. Items can be home goods, decorations, jewelry, fine art, etc. If interested in selling at the market, visit wlhs.org/market. If you are a repeat vendor, please contact Meg Schuessler at meg.schuessler@wlhs.org. The deadline to register is Wednesday, November 19, and is limited to the first 25 tables reserved. 

WLHS Theater ProductionPurchase your tickets to the 2025 fall theatre production, The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940. Performances will be held on Thursday, November 13, at 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 14, at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, November 15, at 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, November 16, at 1:00 p.m. Tickets are available ahead of time at wlhs.org/drama for a discounted rate found ONLY online. This Agatha-Christie-meets-Clue formula of whodunnit parody is full of delightful slapstick for audiences of all ages.

WLHS Host Families NeededWisconsin Lutheran High School is looking for host families for international students during the short Thanksgiving break, as well as for the upcoming Christmas and spring breaks. Families are offered a stipend to support their efforts with the student. It is a wonderful opportunity to let your light shine and learn about someone from another culture! The Point of Grace Campus Ministry Bible Study
 
College students are invited to Bible study Wednesdays at 7:00 pm during fall and spring semesters at the TPOG Campus House (2215 E Kenwood Blvd, Milwaukee, WI). A free meal is served starting at 6:00 pm. Bring your Bible (or Bible app) and perhaps a friend or two and join Pastor Hein from St. Marcus Lutheran Church and the UWM student organization for some fellowship and time to grow in faith.
