While Joseph and his family were sleeping, an angel appeared in a dream and told Joseph to travel to Egypt and wait until King Herod died. So Joseph packed his things and left with Mary and Jesus to Egypt. After Herod realized what happened, he sent orders to kill all the babies who were age two and under in Bethlehem and its vicinity. (Matthew 2:13-18)
