St. Marcus Church is a body of over a thousand baptized members, and we also serve a school with over 1,000 scholars and their families. Because of this, St. Marcus comes into contact with many needs. Sometimes, the situations that spark those needs are unexpected and overwhelming. These are things like a house robbery, a young person's death or an urgent car repair that immediately affects someone's ability to work. As a response to the prevalence of these types of situations, St. Marcus has established a Benevolent Fund.
The Benevolent Fund is overseen by a diverse committee of church members (some who are also on staff). Recommendations come through school or church administrators and our pastoral staff. If approved by the committee, a one-time grant is distributed to the bill holder such as a clinic or a landlord.
Contributions to the Benevolent Fund ensure this fund can serve those who have requests. You can donate anytime, and your gift is very much appreciated.
