    Come & See

Have you ever tried to explain something to someone, but it’s simply indescribable? You fumble for words and use metaphors and pictures of things they understand, but they still can’t picture it. The conversation finally ends with you saying, “You just gotta come and see it for yourself!”

When Jesus called Philip, Philip’s reaction was to go get Nathanael and share the call with him, but Nathanael was skeptical. He didn’t quite know what to think of Philip’s enthusiastic response to this new teacher.  Finally Philip said, “Come and See!”

We can talk and talk about Jesus, but often we just need to bring people with us to Come and See the Savior.  The Holy Spirit works on hearts as we bring others and journey with them to see Jesus and what he has done for us and for them!

This Christmas, we will be exploring the birth of Jesus through the account of Luke, a disciple, who himself Came to See the Savior’s birth through the eyewitness testimonies of those who were there.

In order to bring people with you to see Jesus, you first need to be walking with him, talking to him, and daily learning from him. Yes, this can be hard. I too really struggle to set aside quiet time in my busy day to be with God and learn from him. This December, I’m personally inviting you to journey with me to Bethlehem to Come and See the birth of ourSavior.

I’m inviting you to spend 3-5 minutes a day with me to Come andSee our Savior through Luke’s Christmas story, 140 characters at a time. By texting COMEandSEE to 51555, you will opt in to receive a daily text of God’sWord. Spend 5 minutes a day discovering 5 things God is teaching you through each portion of his Word. Then think about one person you could forward the text message to and invite to Come and See the Savior WITH YOU!

Rejoice and journey with me this December as we Come and See the birth of Jesus, our Savior.

    Come & See with Me,
