How did you connect to St. Marcus?

I drove by St. Marcus everyday for years. I saw students in the parking lot dressed in uniforms, and I wondered about them as I continued driving to work at a creative start-up agency. My boss at the time noticed my passion for working with students, and actually recommended me for a position at St. Marcus. It was truly my "calling". Serving others and making a direct impact on their lives is what St. Marcus does, and it’s what I was searching for all along.

What do you love about what you do?

Being part of something with city-wide impact. Knowing my work helps children, families, and the broader community. Working to improve access to quality education in the City of Milwaukee, and being part of a team who recognizes that what St. Marcus does is transformative because it’s centered on the Gospel.

If you had a Bible passage/quote for your life and ministry what would it be?

“But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” -Isaiah 40:31

Tell us about your family…

I have been married since 2010 to Josh, who is endlessly renovating our 100+ year home, 5 blocks from St. Marcus, and who serves as a Milwaukee Firefighter.

“When I have free time, you will find me…”

Outside! I love exploring whether it’s in a city trying new restaurants or hiking and camping in the woods.

What’s your favorite vacation spot?

Costa Rica, Barcelona, Spain or Northern Wisconsin (I know... three very different experiences, but I also think that helps give you a glimpse to the type of person I am).

What’s one fun fact about you?

I played volleyball for Division III, UW-Whitewater and went to the national championship three years in a row. We finally won the national championship the third year! Talk about an adrenaline rush!
