Parents must have a zero balance to be approved to start Before and After Care services. If a student is registered and the account is not at $0, the student will be placed on the waiting list until the account reaches $0. At which time the students may be placed on the accepted list if there is room available.
After the start of the school year, account balances must remain at or below $100 to continue use of Before & Aftercare services on an ongoing basis. All rules regarding balances apply to the current and past school years.
Before Care
Cost: $2 daily charge per student, maximum $4/day per family. Wisconsin Shares may not be used for this expense.
Before Care operates from 7:00am to 7:30am, Monday - Friday with students being dropped off between 7:00 - 7:20am. After 7:20am students must wait in their vehicles and enter the building at 7:30am with all other students.
Seats are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Students must be registered & accepted into the Before Care program in order to be dropped off.
Account balances will be reviewed and if all criteria are met, acceptance letters will be sent and will include drop-off details.

After Care
After Care services are specific to each campus. Before registering, please carefully review the options below and register for only 1 program.
Option 1: Labor of Love
The program is led by Julie Borum, St Marcus Support Teacher and Owner of Dixon Enterprises. This program includes 20 minutes of homework assistance, Christ centered lessons, social & emotional well being activities, arts & crafts, daily snacks, and family fun nights. This program is staffed with amazing teacher(s) with a passion to serve children while keeping them safe.
Serves: Grades K4 - 6th
Schedule: Monday - Friday, starting August 12, 2026, and ending on May 27, 2027. Does not run during school breaks.
Time: Afterschool to 5:00 pm, prefer no early pick-up
45 seats available on a first come, first serve basis
Cost: $25/week/student. Please note that the cost is not reduced for partial attendance. Wisconsin Shares may not be used. Instruction on payment will be provided upon acceptance into the Labor of Love program. Please keep an active email & phone number on file to receive payment details and updates about the program.
Pickup: 5:00pm with late pick up starting at 5:01 pm. After 5:01 pm is considered a late pick up with a charge of $1 per minute, per child until 6 pm.
1st Late Pick-Up - Verbal Communication from LOL staff member
2nd Late Pick-Up - Written (email) warning from LOL staff member
3rd Late Pick-Up - Loss of seat in the LOL program and all other St. Marcus Aftercare programs.
Account balances will be reviewed and if all criteria are met, acceptance letters will be sent and will include drop-off details.
Students must be registered & accepted the Labor of Love program in order to participate. If you are registering multiple children, please register each student separately.

Option 2: Pristine Childcare in Partnership with Dixon Enterprises, Labor of Love
Pristine Childcare offers after school care in partnership with Dixon Enterprises. From 3-5pm regular childcare will be provided at their center, and after 5pm Pristine will offer additional literacy support using the Labor of Love curriculum.
Serves: Ages 4-12
Schedule: Monday - Friday, starting August 12, 2026, plus full day childcare available during school breaks and in the summer. When St. Marcus is closed for breaks, Pristine Childcare is open.
Time: After school to 7:00 pm
Transportation: Provided by Pristine Childcare from St. Marcus to their location. However, parents are required to pick up students from the Pristine Childcare facility located at 1850 N MLK Jr. Dr, Milwaukee, 53212.
Limited seats

Option 3: JKFK Emerging Scholars
Jacarrie Kicks for Kids Emerging Scholars is an after school program that includes homework assistance, fun workshops, outdoor/indoor play or sports, tutoring, mentoring, character development, and a daily snack. The goal of the program is daily participation with the exception for St. Marcus athletics or extra-curricular activities such as music lessons or art club.
Serves: Grades K4 - 8th
Dates: Monday - Friday, starting August 12, 2026, and ending on May 27, 2027. Does not run during school breaks.
Hours: Afterschool to 5:00 pm, prefer no early pick-up
Location: St. Marcus House on the corner of North Ave & 1st St
Cost: $25/week/student, maximum $50/week/family. Wisconsin Shares may not be used. Parents will be billed directly from Jacarrie's Kicks for Kids. Please keep an active email address on file in order to receive invoices and stay current on payments. Note that the student's account with St. Marcus must be $0 to start. St. Marcus will review all account balances and notify JKFK if balances are not $0.
Pickup: From 5:00 - 5:15 pm, with late pickup starting at 5:10 pm. After 5:15 pm late pick-up will be changed at $1 per minute, per child, until 6:00 pm.

Please note that if a student is removed from the JKFK Emerging Scholar program, they are not eligible to attend St. Marcus aftercare or Labor of Love.
