WLHS Veterans Day Observance

Wisconsin Lutheran High School will hold its annual Veterans Day observance on Monday, November 11, 2019. WLHS Job Opening

WLHS is looking for part-time staff to supervise and provide care for a diverse group of teenagers in the new student residential facility at Honey Creek Hall. The position supports the work of the resident staff. Applicants should have experience working in an educational or residential setting, preferably with international students. The Point of Grace Bible Study Schedule

A UWM Gathering Series will replace the normal Bible Study on October 23 from 7 - 9 pm at UWM (2200 E Kenwood Boulevard). Pastor Ben Reichel from KML will speak on the topic of Heaven/Hell/Revelations/End of Times. Music will be provided by Addy and Matt, members of the St. Marcus band. Regular Bible Study will be held at 7:15 pm on October 30 at the Campus House.

Worship Opportunities in Milwaukee This Weekend

Sunday, October 27 offers two chances to celebrate with your fellow saints in Milwaukee. Siloah (3721 N 21st St) is hosting a special service in celebration of their 125th anniversary at 2 pm. St. John’s on the Hillside (804 W Vliet St) will host a Milwaukee Area Reformation Service with Holy Communion at 3 pm.

WLHS Drama Production

WLHS will present, “The Curious Savage,” a comedy by John Patrick on Friday, November 1, at 7:30 pm, Saturday, November 2, at 4:00 & 7:30 pm, and Sunday, November 3, at 1:30 pm. Seating is GA and tickets cost $8 for adults and $5 for children. To order tickets, go online to wlhs.org/drama or stop by the high school’s Central Office during school hours. Tickets will also be sold at the door before each performance. A spaghetti dinner accompanied by songs from the Choir Associates and featuring Wisco Kids and Inspiration choirs will be held before the Friday, November 1 performance from 4:30 - 7:00 pm. Bach Chamber Choir 50 Year Anniversary Celebration

Join with the Bach Chamber Choir as they celebrate their 50-year anniversary featuring many of the best-loved pieces performed for their Milwaukee-area audiences over the last 50 years - representing some 500 years of choral music. Volunteer at WELS Lutherans for Life

If you have medical training and would like to volunteer a few hours per month, consider contact WELS Lutherans for Life. The organization is in need of the following:

  • Lab techs, LPN’s, medical assistants and others to obtain lab specimens
  • RN’s, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, and others authorized to dispense medication - to provide results and treatment consultations
  • RDMS’s and others with diagnostic ultrasound training to conduct limited OB ultrasound exams
